Paco, Richard and Rici all arrived on 2 December 2009 and formed the first all-male group at LIONSROCK.

Paco used to live illegally in the backyard of a private household in Romania.  FOUR PAWS convinced the owner that Paco would have a better life at LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary. Rici and Richard, both young males, shared the same traumatic background. Both were living in exploitative conditions in private keeping in Romania.

Today all three lions are living a happy life together, and it is incredible how much they have recovered through the years. They love playing with each other or the enrichment that the animal caretakes and volunteers provide for them.
