This is LIONSROCK
To fully appreciate LIONSROCK and all that it offers, a visit provides an unforgettable journey of learning, exploring, and discovering the world of animal welfare through the inspiring stories of our rescued big cats. By visiting LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary, you are choosing an ethical destination and supporting a unique animal welfare project dedicated to the protection and care of rescued big cats.
The Sanctuary is predominantly a network of enclosures designed in paw-print formations. Each enclosure has a “house” for protection from the elements, which also allows closer (contactless) monitoring of our Big Cats.
The bridge and platform allow you a bird’s-eye view of the Sanctuary to survey and appreciate the magnitude of LIONSROCK. It also gives you insight into understanding any subtle changes that may occur with the pride or even just the environment overall. LIONSROCK is one of only five true Sanctuaries in the country and is unique in so many ways. You will meet our dynamic team who have dedicated their lives to this field. You will assist and learn first-hand from our resident experts about pressing animal-welfare issues and what can be done to resolve them.
