The farm of 1.240 ha is home to a big variety of game including black wildebeest (indigenous to the Free State Province), blue wildebeest, blesbuck, burchell’s zebra, duiker, eland, impala, lechwe, mountain reedbuck, red hartebeest, springbuck, steenbuck and waterbuck. And for the avid bird lovers, there is also a wide variety of bird species that have found refuge on the farm.

There are eight different predator species on the farm including Bengal tiger, caracal, leopard, and lions, accommodated in high standard enclosures all adapted to ensure the safety of both humans and animals. These predators were rescued from bad conditions and are the first inhabitants of LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary. They cannot be returned to the wild as they were bred in captivity and therefore we have ensured that the new habitat is as close to nature as possible.

Your guide will provide you with informative and educational information about the wildlife in general and specifically the predators.
