Game Drive

We invite you to take a guided game drive in an open game drive vehicle and enjoy the spectacular views, abundant game and tranquil surroundings.

The farm of 1.240 ha is home to a big variety of game including Black Wildebeest (indigenous to the Free State Province), Blue Wildebeest, Blesbuck, Burchell’s Zebra, Duiker, Eland, Impala, Letchwe, Mountain Reedbuck, Red Hartebeest, Reedbuck, Springbuck, Steenbuck and Waterbuck. And for the avid bird lovers, there is also a wide variety of bird species that have found refuge on the farm.

There are five different predator species on the farm including Bengal Tiger, Caracal, Leopard, Lions and Wild Dogs, accommodated in high standard enclosures all adapted to ensure the safety of both humans and animals. These predators were rescued from bad conditions and are the first inhabitants of LIONSROCK Big Cat Sanctuary. They can not be returned to the wild as they were bred in captivity and therefore we have insured that the new habitat is as closed to nature as possible.
