DIRECTIONS FROM BLOEMFONTEIN TO BETHLEHEM
- From Bloemfontein, travel on the N1 to Kroonstad
- From the Star Stop rest station just outside Bloemfontein on the N1, you will travel about 140km, to Winburg.
- At Winburg, turn right onto the N5
- From Winburg you will pass the towns of Senekal and Paul Roux, travelling a total of about 131km to reach Bethlehem.
- The road entering Bethlehem is a one way street. Follow this road through the town of Bethlehem, until the last intersection, with directional signs – left to Johannesburg, right to Harrismith.
- On the left will be a mall and a Zenex Garage, take the slip road left.
- Follow this road (R26) for about 5km, until you reach the signs for the Warden road (R714). Turn right.
- Travel a few hundred meters, where you will see signs to Lionsrock. The signs will be on the left and the road will be to the right.
- Turn right onto the gravel road and travel approximately 13 km. You will pass on the way, a feedlot with a great deal of cows on your right hand side. You will see signs to the left for Kukuzans Game Farm and a few meters later signs directing you to a thatch roof entrance to LIONSROCK.
The security will welcome you at the gate.
DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG TO LIONSROCK VIA FRANKFORT
- Take the N3 - Heidelberg/Durban road.
- Just outside of Heidelberg, you will arrive at the first rest stop – Caltex, with a Steers Fast Food outlet.
- The first toll gate will be outside of Heidelberg and the charge is approximately R24-00
- The next rest stop will be the Engen One Stop before Villiers, with a Wimpy Fast Food outlet.
- Directly after crossing the Vaal River (about 3km after the Engen One Stop before Villiers), take the slip-way to the left, which puts you onto the R26. (This is the last turn off before the toll gate at Villiers.
- Turn right at the top to cross the bridge (crossing the N3).
- Follow the R26 to Frankfort for about 30km. Just before Frankfort, turn right at the T-junction. Signboard – R34 Frankfort, R26 Reitz
- Travel for approximately 6 km. Just after Frankfort go over a bridge (Wilge River) and turn left (small slipway)towards Reitz. (Signboard - R26 Reitz). This area is not clearly marked so please check carefully not to proceed straight ahead.
- After approximately 60km, you will reach a 4-way stop (just outside Reitz) – continue straight to Bethlehem (R26) (you don’t go through Reitz)
- When you are about 4 km from Bethlehem, look out for the signs to Warden(R714)
- Turn onto the Warden road and travel a few hundred meters, where you will see signs to Lionsrock. The signs will be on the left and the road will be to the right
- Turn right onto the gravel road and travel approximately 13 km. You will pass on the way, a feedlot with a great deal of cows on your right hand side. You will see signs to the left for Kukuzans Game Farm and a few meters later signs directing you to a thatch roof entrance to LIONSROCK.

DIRECTIONS FROM JOHANNESBURG TO LIONSROCK VIA WARDEN (simpler route)
- Take the N3 - Heidelberg/Durban road.
- Just outside of Heidelberg, you will arrive at the first rest stop – Caltex, with a Steers Fast Food outlet.
- The first toll gate will be outside of Heidelberg and the charge is approximately R24-00
- The next rest stop will be the Engen One Stop before Villiers, with a Wimpy Fast Food outlet.
- Proceed directly to the Villiers toll gate – the charge is approximately R33-00.
- Continue to Warden. You will see signs depicting the distance to Warden.
- Prior to reaching Warden, you will see on the left hand side a large church steeple in stone in the distance. There are two turnoffs at Warden. The first is a rather small road at 90 degrees to the N3 and this leads into the town. The second turnoff should be taken - Bethlehem R714, is shortly after the church landmark on the left hand side around a bend in the N3.
- Take this turnoff and follow the signs to the right R714 to Bethlehem. It crosses the N3 freeway..
- About half way to Bethlehem, you will come to a 4 way stop street. Proceed directly ahead, do not turn left or right. The town is about 40km from this stop.
- About 5km outside of town, you will see signs on the left hand side, directing you to LIONSROCK. Turn left onto the gravel road and travel approximately 14 km. You will pass on the way, a feedlot with a great deal of cows on your right hand side. You will see signs to the left for Kukuzans Game Farm and a few meters later signs directing you to a thatch roof entrance to LIONSROCK.

DIRECTIONS FROM DURBAN
- drive on the N3 towards Harrismith
- From Harrismith you take the N5 towards Kestell/Bethlehem.
- About 15 km past Kestell towards Bethlehem N5 you will find a LIONSROCK sign on your left hand side where you turn right onto a gravel road S176.
- drive about 13 km on the gravel road where you will find a LIONSROCK sign again where you turn left S175.
- Drive about 8 km and on the left side you will find the gate of LIONSROCK.
